They collect heart warming memories from the joys of Door County’s music, theater, other arts, and hiking, biking, water sports, and culinary treats. Ron and Carole are certified Door County naturalists who enjoy laughing and sharing ideas about experiences, how to protect lands of Door County, and learning from visitors from all over the world.

Ron has a wonderful sense of humor. He also worked in residential and commercial construction, taught construction and manufacturing and remodeled each room, suite, gathering room, and more since they purchased the older 1953 historical motel 26 years ago. They work hard to keep the pool safe and open. It is the second oldest pool in Wisconsin.

Carole was a science and social studies teacher, a reading specialist, and has a degree in Recreation. Some schools are using her recent book, READING, SHARING, LAUGHING, CARING: back to the basics for staff development { soon a link to purchase}. It is for sale in the office and will soon be available in A Door County Picnic, the retail space that will reopen to sell specialty items, such as picnic backpacks, local art cards, Elizabeth Essentials‘ rapid relief, Heidi’s Essence soap and packaged “surprise soup”.
